Early this morning I dreamt a couple things Both auspicious and mundane Two things I can remember A job I did not like And some flying that I liked The job was dull and fun Glossing over hours Time flying by until it’s done The other part had rainbows Bursting from a waterfall A bird came down and scooped me up In fiercely friendly discourse We bantered in the clouds The palm print land below We flew into that holy sky Above the river’s highest source And swam in a big pool I saw my teacher from eons past Who spoke to me through 6 steel strings Metal over wood in water Fire high above The wind sang songs Of earth and space High above that waterfall I felt so many things Fears and thrills then happiness A swimming baby turtle A snapping snapper turtle Swam toward me but never bit Swam toward me but never bit I swore he was gonna bite But he was just singing His first song ever His first song ever I swore he was gonna bite But he was just singing The sound of eternity But he was just singing The sound of eternity
